JINO a New Orleans outreach involving youth and college students from churches/campus ministries across the South and from as far away as Nebraska. In 2004 services were centered around the Bywater church of Christ (Christian Outreach Ministry/Center). In 2006, still in the wake of Katrina, the vision expanded to help other parts of N.O.
Sadly the extraordinary efforts of 2006 marked God's closing of JINO.
JINO was unique in that it was not entirely a work focused solely on service; a camp centered on a Spiritual goal; nor an evangelistic effort to the exception of all else. It is truly a blending of those Spiritual facets. |
