Hey Everyone,
Well, lets see.. what did I accomplish today? I made a cd .. got my dvd player to work for 10 mins (an ongoing battle)... took some of my books back from last semester (they gave me less than half what I bought them for of course).. ah well, wasnt going to use them anyway. I kept my haz waste management book for future reference. Now I'm drinking hazelnut flavoured hot chocolate and thinking about the cloning discussion Colin and I had.
He doesnt think its right to clone a whole person ever. I disagree that if done properly (with the correct motives, permission, ethical considerations and media scrutiny) that it has its place in science.
I didnt pose the deeper religious connotations of the discussion yet. How if people were made in gods image.. exactly what parts of our genetics delegate that.. and to what extent could we then theoretically immitate god etc. (I dont believe in god personally, that's why I find these kinds of "if, then.." questions amusing)
