| Why see a counselor?
You may - have problems with a relationship, depression, insomnia or nightmares. - have problems related to substance use or to trauma earlier in your life. - be in a transitional life phase and wonder, “Where do I go from here?” - be concerned about another’s behavior. There are probably as many reasons to see a counselor as there are people. Each person’s concerns are unique; each person’s pain is real. The goal of counseling is - to help a person deal with mental, emotional and/or behavioral problems. - to help a person gain insight. - to learn about oneself - to provide a safe place for a person to grow. |
