Max has taught classical western percussion and drum set for four years. His teaching combines traditional instruction grounded in classical methods with contemporary sensibilities. All instruction is directed toward the individual student's personal needs and goals. Max teaches students of all styles and all levels. He has successfully taught both children and adults.
Max is also available to teach beginning tabla and beginning-intermediate lessons on doumbek, def, riq, and other forms of middle eastern percussion.
Max is currently affiliated with the Community Music School of Santa Cruz.
