Gentle Creature
Though it's going to turn out all right, this project is not going to be as nice as it could be.  When I bought this leaflet I was in a hurry and was unfamiliar with Teresa Wentzler, who is an incredible designer.  I approached this smallish design in a very casual manner, which - I now know - is no way to start any project from this designer.

This is about what the completed design will look like

The Pattern:
Designer: Teresa Wentzler
Find the Chart:
Leisure Arts has combined Gentle Creature and Peacock Majesty into one leaflet.
Stitch Count: 90 x 126
Stitches: Whole cross stitches, a ludicrous amount of fractional stitching, a great deal of backstitching.
Floss: A huge number of colors for such a small design.  At least half of the stitches are made up of two floss colors blended together.
Cloth: 18 count cream aida from Charles Craft.

Personal Notes:
Though small, this design is not to be taken lightly and care should be taken in choosing your cloth.  I recently started working in linen, and this is the 1st - and last Wentzler design I will ever work on aida.  The fractional stitching is far too difficult on aida.  The cloth color I chose was also wrong.  The cream is slightly too dark and I'm afraid the castle's reflection is not going to look as good.  Next time I work a Wentzler design I will plan ahead,
organize my floss, railroad, and work on linen.
