100 GOOD WISHES QUILT
INSTRUCTIONS:

When you recieve your copy of the completed list, prepare your fabric using the following directions;
   Purchase enough fabric or use what you have on hand to cut enough 7x7 inch squares and 1x1 or 2x2  inch squares for each member including yourself to have two 7x7 squares and 1 1x1 or 2x2 square.   The reason for the 1x1 or 2x2 inch square is due to the fact that fabric can contain a pattern or theme that cannot be matched sufficiently in a square as small as 1 inch by 1 inch and therefore you can choose either size for the square you will mount on your message.   If there are 50 people on your list you should have enough fabric for 100 7x7 inch squares and 50 1x1 or 2x2 inch squares.

Wash, dry, iron and cut the fabric.

Write or type a wish on a card, postcard, notecard, or nice paper.  This can be a wish, a prayer, a thought, or message for the adoptive family and/or the future child.

Glue the 1x1 or 2x2 inch square to the card.

Mail two 7x7 inch squares along with the wish card to each member of the list.

Once you have recieved squares from all the other list members, create your quilt in your own unique fashion.  While no two quilts will be alike, all will have been created with the same squares.

If you would like a photo of your completed quilt on the finished quilt page, send it to the group in the photo section and it will be added as soon as the page is ready.

There are many books, magazines and patterns available to choose a quilt design and most have easy step by step instructions to follow.  You can find these at your local fabric store or book store.  Many fabric stores offer classes in quilting and this could be your project to learn on for the class as well as a wonderful way to pass the time.  Many people have had an experienced quilter make all or part of their quilt for them or have taken lessons from them.  However you choose to make your quilt is entirely up to you.

Happy Quilting Everyone!!
