I took these photos during the taping - to the  total delight of the audience, Jeff Thacker announced the Osmonds would perform their hit "Love Me For a Reason" - three times in a row!  The first time as a run through, the second time to get close-ups of the Osmonds, and the third time to capture audience reaction!
And boy, did we REACT!!

I had a funny moment with Donny when he  arrived at the theater before the show. I called out "Donny!!" He smiled & looked at me & I said, "This is your LUCKY day!!" He said something like "It is?! Why?!" I said, "Yes...if you'd like to, I will LET you have your photo taken with me!" The look on his face just cracked me up...he seemed surprised...  He was playing along like it was a privilege for him to have a photo with me & I totally adored him for it! Then I realized I didn't know who could take my photo & I practically threw my camera to someone & asked if they'd take a photo.  (Thanks, Sabrina!) So arms around each other - pose for this photo. I went on with the gag & said to him, "Now when you get home, you be sure & tell all your friends that you had your photo taken with Darlene from Georgia!"  He repeated, "Darlene from Georgia - alright!" Then Donny suddenly dropped to his knee in front of me, clasped his hands togther, sort of pressing them together & shaking them a bit  profusely & said, "You have made my life!"  He was so funny - I nearly lost it - he just busted me up!! I also got a hug (this was turning out to be a great day!!) &  What a great sense of humor he has - and what a good sport!!
The audience was thrilled to find out that after the show  all six Osmond brothers had agreed to pose for a photo with any audience member who wished to have a photo taken by a professional photographer.  This is very rare.  When it was my turn, I grinned at Donny & told him it really WAS his lucky day - he was having TWO photos made with me!
Donny & Darlene - Outside the Moon River Theater when he arrived for the show.  I didn't realize my friend, Sandra, was behind us & snapped a photo.  The UK film crew was there too.
When Donny first arrived at the theater, his tag was sticking out of his jacket, so I folded it back under - just as Sandra snapped a photo - I could not let him film a TV show with a tag sticking out! I warned him what I was doing & said I was not getting fresh or anything & he laughed!
Julie C took this photo when I was
talking with Donny
Here's Donny (& Sherry!) listening to me telling him
it's his lucky day...
These 3 photos of us were taken from the documentary that aired in the UK.
Going down on his knee to me...taken from Linda's video - just before someone stepped in the way & blocked the rest of the shot!  What a nut he is!
