This is My Cry...
This is my cry as I have watched the streets at night I deeply feel the whisper of these little tots of their plight If only I could hug them tight To tuck these tiny teardrops under my pillow And clasp them tight
This is my cry and beseech for Thee That the busy paths will hear their plea Of these restless sparrows that my heart should see their crushed and broken wounds repeatedly
This is my cry I pray to God above To wash the stained shirts of the little ones He loved That they may again dance under the rainbow bright And play once more with their favorite kite
This is their cry I hear them now To bring back all the love thy have vowed I have felt this love yesterday As mother was always there to stay
And now that our cry was heard by You, We know that You will be there for us too To wipe away our tiny tears And hug us tight as dearly as it is, To hold and carry us unreservedly as we always wished
This is our cry for you dear friend To stop chasing that angry wind Stop by and see the green, green grass Love these little ones and make it last
This is my cry for mother and father dear That they will clean the fields and make it clear Clear from all the angst and war So the children will yoke in God's love, and will never again be far...
