MAYFLOWER SUMMER SCHOOL Once again Mayflower will be running its Summer School throughout the summer months for its existing members and of course any new members that would like to come along. Summer classes were introduced last year to keep the interest of the Guard during the summer months. This proved highly successful, and along with the Cheer leading classes it enabled members to concentrate on dance and equipment skills. Staffed by members and staff from the World Guard it focused on basic technique in dance and equipment, it also gave older members the forum to come along and take up an odd class here and there during the summer to get back into spinning. This year we will have more input from outside Dance Instructors in addition to extra emphasis on weapon and equipment training. The Cheer Leading classes will still be on offer to bring a bit of ‘fun’ to the summer. Summer classes will commence on SATURDAY MAY 4TH AT THE DE LA SALLE SCHOOL BASILDON As last year we will be running a full day Summer Workshop that will be open to other Guards to come along and take part in.
