Considering everything that has happened to me lately, I thought it best that I (one again) take up the practice of recording the events of my day. This is a practice I got into during my training under my former sensei, who has since joined his ancestors far beyond.
Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Ami Fionna Dijon. I am fifteen years old, and am a Freshman at Ohtori Academy. My eyes are a soft pink color, and my hair, which is long enough to touch the floor, is a light blue. I am five foot two, weigh one hundred pounds, and am right handed. My favorite hobbies are fencing, Pa Kua Quan (a Chinese martial art that looks like a dance), reading books, writing, and doing anything with my friends. I also enjoy being with my boyfriend, the President of the Student Council, Touga Kiryuu Ohtori.
Oh yes, and in case I conveniently forget, I have a roommate here at the academy. Her name is Wakaba Shinohara, and she is my princess and my true heart. She is a pooka, a cute yellow bird, and while he antics are often a source of incredible annoyance for me, I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
By the way, I did indeed call Wakaba my princess. That is because I’m the “Prince of Ohtori.” It’s a long story, so I’ll summarize it in brief:
I came to Ohtori Academy at the beginning of the fall semester this year. This was my first time in a public educational setting, as I have been tutored at home my entire life. My tutor, who was also my sensei, was a Saytr hired by my parents (Baron François and Lady Katherine Dijon of the Dijon Province) to teach me in the art of knowledge as well as the art of combat. He trained me for many years until death overtook him quite suddenly.
The death of my sensei tore my heart asunder, and I would have simply sunk into eternal depression if not for being sent to Ohtori Academy. It was there that I met my roommate, my friends, my boyfriend, and began to discover myself.
Ohtori is a Duchy near Paris, the Court of Roses. The Duke, Akio Ohtori, is also the Dean of the School. He’s a gentleman with a passion for the finer things in life, which is so funny because he is an Ellunid. It was he and my father that conspired to send me to Ohtori in order to recover from the death of my beloved sensei. Yes, it is true that I loved him dearly. He showed my young body and heart feelings and happiness I never knew existed. Even now, after all this time, his death still hurts when I dwell upon it.
But back to my story: I arrived at Ohtori and immediately met my roommate, and the one staple in my life, the chirpy Pooka-Bird Wakaba Shinohara. She is the cutest thing in the whole world. She’s a little shorter than me, a little lighter, but she is so darn cute. He face is almost always smiling, her hair is always up in a top-knot, and her feathers, which are bright yellow, add to her expression with a mind of their own.
Wakaba is also incredibly attractive, a trait she dumbs down by being a silly canary. Her body is luscious and very well curved, and her skin is smooth as silk. He kisses are sweeter than honey and her touch is simply electric.
Because of Duke Akio and Wakaba, I got drug into a dueling game with the Student Council. Because of a ring that Akio gave me late one night, I was marked to be tested for entry into the Knights of the Rose, a Knightly Order dedicated to protecting Ohtori Academy. They goaded me into fighting these play duels by socially and emotionally harassing Wakaba, who was already dealing with being a commoner in a noble’s school. (Wakaba is here because of sponsorship by Lord Michael Flatley!!! ^^) One by one, I fought each of the Student Council members in a “rose duel”, a duel where the winner is determined by knocking a rose off of her opponent’s lapel.
My first opponent, Minako Aino, the Student Council Member at Large, was disappointingly easy. I defeat her without even breaking a sweat, which is unsurprising because Minako is not a swordswoman. She is, however, one of the MOST beautiful girls on campus and my occasional lover. I’ll keep any further thoughts on her private. ^_~
My next opponent was one of my best friends, Miki Kaoru, the Student Council Secretary and my usual Math Tutor. He was also easy to defeat, for even though Miki is a star fencer, he cannot compete with my level of training. Unfortunately, his tactic to force me to duel him was so underhanded that I was momentarily over-taken by rage and dislocated his shoulders. To this day I regret that action, even though Miki has forgiven me.
Juri Arisagawa didn’t forgive me, though, and as my next opponent the Student Council Treasurer and Captain of the Ohtori Fencing Team showed me no mercy. However, Juri, as skilled as she may be, is not a true duelist. He linear style is too restrictive, but since I was taught in the circular style used when dueling to the death, I defeated her without too much difficulty.
My next opponent, however, was my toughest. Kyoichi Sainoji, the Student Council Vice-President and Captain of the Kendo Club, is not only used to fighting to the death, but is also a very powerful magus. His spells and techniques would have beaten me if not for the Counter Magic taught to me by my current Pa Kwa Sensei, Yosho. Now the only fighting between Saionji and I is for Wakaba’s attention, as he is her legitimate boyfriend.
Sadly, my boyfriend, the Student Council President, Touga Kiryuu Ohtori, was my final opponent. While not as superior in combat as Saionji was, fighting him was like a dagger resting in my heart. I hated it, having to use my blade against Monsieur Touga, even in play; but my love for Wakaba transcend all thought, so I fought. And I won.
I wasn’t alone during my duels, as Wakaba was my princess and stayed by my side. I also had the help and support of many others: Rei Hino, Usagi Tsukino, Lita Jones, Mari, Shiko, Amy Mizuno, and most importantly Tatsuya and Eiko – my seconds.
Rei Hino is Saionji’s cousin, a fact she loves to complain about. She is also a Shinto Priestess, and the staunchest protector of Usagi Tsukino.
Usagi Tsukino is a cute blonde girl with very little in the way of book smarts. But she is keenly perceptive on people’s feelings, which is of no surprise seeing as how she is the reincarnation of Serenity, the Princess of the Moon. Her betrothed, Mamoru Chiba (the son of High King David of Concordia!), is the reincarnation of Endymion, the Prince of the Earth. There is a lot of back story behind this that I will chronicle…one day.
Lita Jones is a great girl, and very athletic. She’s always either in the gym or cooking something delicious in the kitchen. She is also boy crazy, talking about how each guy reminds her of her old boyfriend. I need to get to know her better.
Mari is a Troll from the Tiki Islands, and is the single strongest person I have ever seen. She is massive, muscular, and the sweetest, nicest person I know. I love her voice!
Shiko Kotobuki is a dreamer, and while that would normally be odd, she is in the Academy because of Eiko, who is her guardian.
Amy Mizuno is from a family line of doctors. I know of the Mizuno Family and their medical accomplishments, because I am considering pursuing a career in nursing. Amy is VERY intelligent and quite introspective. She is quite cute too and blushes at the slightest hint of sexuality.
Eiko Megumi is a Gwydion Knight with the strength of ten men and a heart of gold. She is kind, outgoing, and gets terribly angry when someone tries to hurt one of her friends. Even though I am very attracted to her, she is my second and I honestly can’t see us sleeping together. Besides, she seems to be so dedicated to her House that she never goes after any boys (or girls for that matter).
Tatsuya Kazami is my best male friend and would be lover if I wasn’t with Touga and if he had eyes for anyone but Kanae Ohtori. To say that I love Tatsuya is an understatement; I care for my noble knight with all of my heart. He has been there for me no matter what happened, and has never forsaken or betrayed me. During Samhain, when my Unseelie nature was coming out for the first time in my life, Tatsuya helped me (with the assistance of Nurse Setsuna and Wakaba) get through what was a terrible painful transition.
My last group of friends is the Chibi Gaurdians, young Knights in training who are the cutest elementary school children (other than Sho – my little boyfriend ^_~ and Jasmine – Miki’s beautiful young girlfriend). They are, in no order, Sasami Jurai (Pretty Sammy), Sammy Tsukino (Moonlight Knight), Ririka Moriya (Nurse Angel), and Seiya Uzaki (Angel Knight). I must add that I absolute love these children, their little dog Herb, and all of the cuteness that comes from them. All I can think when I see them is “I want one…” Poor Touga won’t know what hits him when my biological clock chimes midnight!
That should conclude the list of my friends, although I know so many more people, whom I will introduce them as they appear in the story, for the list can be quite endless.
As for what has been happening lately, well it may sound unbelievable, but monsters from Dark Joker are invading Ohtori Academy! What is Dark Joker? That is a VERY good question, one that no one seems to be able to answer at this time. Dark Joker seems to be a group of evil people from the deeper dreaming who want to invade and poison this world. They have chosen Ohtori Academy because Nurse Angel, who is their legendary nemesis, is known to live here. If they can kill Nurse Angel, who is the only one who uses the Green Vaccine (their weakness), then nothing can stop them from taking over with their Black Vaccine. Both vaccines come from the Flower of Life, a rare and wondrous bulb that is at the very heart of this war.
Dark Joker comprises of many members, but the ones I know best are Pixy Misa, a perverse little girl with an army of “Luv-Luv Monsters”; Dewey, a handsome boy is Pixy Misa’s older brother; Suboshi, Pixy Misa’s rash boyfriend who is a powerful fighter; and Amiboshi, Susboshi’s calm twin brother who is very intelligent and a brillant tactician.
Of the four of them, only Amiboshi is a real threat. The other three are weak and pose no real danger to me. I have beaten Pixy Misa and Dewey more times than I can remember, and have capsized Suboshi with little effort. Amiboshi, however, nearly beat me – in fact is only by sheer willpower and luck that I was able to take him down. However, we’ll cross again, and I’m both looking forward to it and fearing it.
There is another threat, the Distiller of the Black Vaccine, Professor Tomoe, the Head of the Math and Science Department. Tomoe is a twisted man who keeps his sickly daughter on a short leash. To free his daughter, the frail but sweet Hotaru Tomoe, from his clutches, has become Wakaba’s personal mission. My lovely roommate is so brave in taking on an evil man like Tomoe alone. He had better not hurt her; else he will feel agony beyond his mental capacity to understand.
Helping me investigate and destroy the Dark Joker threat are the Inner Senshi: Mercury (Amy), Mars (Rei), Jupiter (Lita), and Minako (Venus), the Moon Princess (Usagi), my two knights (or at least one of them – Tatsuya left after Samhain to find the Stone of Opening in order to win Kanae Ohtori’s hand in marriage), and Miki Kaoru (whose twin sister, Kozue, was willingly seduced into Dark Joker). Of course, we can’t count out Wakaba – she’ll get upset and peck me right on the nose!
One last thing, a society has risen called the Black Rose Society, run by a faculty member named Mikage Souji. He is an enigmatic man, but his 100 member Society seems to be nothing more than a group dedicated to gathering information on Treasures. Even though Shiori (the manipulative hussy that is controlling Juri) and Nanami (Touga’s elitest younger sister) are a part of it, so are Amy, Miki, Juri, and Wakaba. Therefore, it can’t be anything bad. However, I often wonder how much they know about my two treasures…
Ever since I came to, I have had two treasures: The Sword of Dios and the Dark Eternal Wand. The Sword is a symbol of light and order, and the Wand is a symbol of darkness and chaos. I do wonder why I was chosen to be the wielder of these weapons, for they are very powerful. I can only use one or the other at any given time. When I use the Sword, I am a Prince who fights with purpose, when I use the Wand, I become Unseelie and am a Sorceress with no sense of mercy to my enemies. I seem to have trouble remembering all of the details when I use the Wand – yet another mystery.
Oh well, it is very late, and I’m looking over at a very comfortably sleeping bird who would be very fun to cuddle right now. I have class tomorrow, so, starting tomorrow, I’ll chronicle my adventurers at Ohtori Academy.
Yours Truly,
Ami
