What's New - Mar 2004 |
March 29, 2004 - I had a really relaxing weekend, which started on Friday. (yay, me!) I went to see Passion of the Christ – it was really graphic.
I went on a shopping spree. Sao wasn’t even there but she managed to convince me to buy a new digi camera. Pentax S4. Much smaller. Not sure about the photo quality, but I’ve ordered some photos from Ofoto, so we’ll see… Sao just chopped off 10” of her hair. Wow. I cut off 4” and I feel pretty traumatized. Then again, it’s only hair and unlike some people at least I know it’ll grow back. I felt bad because I really wasn’t down for getting my haircut already but I guess Mrs I. could see my split ends from a mile away. Ok, so I know it was necessary but I’ve grown used to my hair being super long. Black cars – they suck. I got mine detailed on Friday. Saturday morning I went to get into my car and noticed a nice sheen of POLLEN stuck to my car. Urgh. I really hate that. None of it blew off, either. Now I have to wash it AGAIN. March 22, 2004 - Another Top Member’s Trip under the belt. I’m so relieved it’s over. The trip went great. One story that came out of the trip – one of our clients was a last minute invite. They’re pretty wild, crazy partiers (the wife is an ex-stripper). Well, the wife was wearing a remote control vibrator at one of the dinner events (I didn’t find out until the last night about this story…) and her husband was passing around the remote control at the dinner table. The other guests were pressing the button. The story gets better when it falls out and she reaches in to her pants to place it back in. Yeah, class act. On my birthday on Friday we were having dinner at “The Office”, which is located right on the beach. If you guys go to Cabo, be sure to have dinner there – it’s GREAT. Anyhow, I had to get up to make some housekeeping announcements. As I stood up there, I turned around and looked at everyone staring at me. Someone in the back yelled, “happy birthday”, which lead to a round of drunken “happy birthday” singing. I’ve never had that many people singing to me. Final night was on Saturday night. As I was talking & socializing with people, many of them came up to me to say how sweet it was that my boyfriend came out to surprise me for my birthday (we had a drunken incident with another hotel guest who was NOT part of our group). Some of the florists thought it’d be funny to spread around rumors about me and that obnoxious turkey. I sat down to dinner with Katie and I mentioned to her the story that was circulating about me. This is how quickly gossip travels in this group – she had already heard it. I need to find some way to get my revenge on 3 of our florists. I was thinking about calling in pretending to be a really pissed off Chinese woman, but I don’t think I’d be able to keep it up. I may need to call in a friend to help me with it. If you guys can think of anything, please let me know!! Last night I had dinner with my family for my birthday & bert’s birthday. Sao, Darin & Kyle came out as well! It’s always good to see friends & family together! I was so tired, I couldn’t even stand straight. Needless to say, I was not the party girl about town. |
