Words of Wisdom 1.) Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk besides me, either. Just leave me alone, you are bothering me. 2.) Never mess up an apology with an excuse. 3.) No one is listening until you make a mistake. 4.) Always remember you are unique, just like everyone else. 5.) Never test the depth of the water with both feet. 6.) It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. 7.) It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help. 8.) Don't be irreplaceable; if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted. 9.) A closed mouth gathers no foot. 10.) There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works. |
1/4/2001 - Tara is one of the funniest people I know. We were playing Pictionary with Jimmy, Erin, Shel, & Les. It's Tara's turn to draw for our team and Erin's turn for her team. After Tee looks at the card, she says that she's not sure how to draw the word, so Erin tells her to draw something that sounds like it. So, after tee starts drawing what looks to be a maze, i respond with what I think it is. Tara says, "YEAH!! You got it!!! That's the word!!" Me, Jimmy, & tara are all excited because we're losing by a lot at this point. Erin turns around and says, "Tara, that is NOT the word!!! It's GRAZE!!" She had forgotten that she was trying to draw something that just SOUNDED like the word, not the actual word. |
1/7/2001 - Tara is STILL one of the funniest people I know. She did it AGAIN!! She laughed while she was drawing the "sounds like" symbol because she knew she'd do it again. This time the word was "Marriage" she drew a "carriage". |
1/15/2001 - Well, this weekend was my grandfather's funeral. It was really busy. I had to give an eulogy for my grandpa. I had it all written out in both English & Japanese. I canned the one in English and this is what I basically said,: My grandfather taught me 2 very important things in life, which can be found in Matthew 22: 37- 40 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. My grandfather taught me these 2 truths in the way he lived his life. He lived his life for the Lord and his heart was always for helping others around him. He loved to talk to people and spend time with them. This is what I will remember most about my grandpa. |
1/16/2001 - My boss is pretty nutty. Today, we had to pick up a few items from Coscto. He chose to pick up some filet mignon, salad, & bread and we fried the filet back at our office. So, we had some filet mignons for lunch today at our office. And people ask me why I'm still at this company. Silly question. |

1/29/2001 - ok...i did what I swore i would never do...i went snowboarding on Saturday at Mountain High. Weather conditions were favorable...light, fluffy powder to fall in. My body is now killing me...i've discovered muscles i never knew existed. At one point, i distinctly remember being knocked down on my back looking up at the ski lifts, screaming, "I HATE SNOWBOARDING"...i heard an "AMEN, SISTER!!" in the distance. I definitely believe that skiing is far more enjoyable than snowboarding. It took erin & i 40 minutes to get down the bunny slope the first time. How lame is that? Amy D.'s first time out on snow and she just JAMMED!! She dusted us after the first run. ahhhhh the benefits of youth! Props go to Erin Fuj for stopping me from my mad, out of control flight down the bunny slope!! Sorry, erin...i hope my knocking you over didn't leave any bruises. |
1/30/2001 - Congrats go out to Sao who closed on her house today!! YAY!! All parties are @ the Kuida household. Go, sao & darin!! @----------@----------@----------@----------@----------@-----------@----------@----------@-----------@-----------@-------- I went to the Clippers game again last nite. They played the Spurs. Lost by about 30 points...it was pretty ugly. Anyhow as the t-shirts were being shot out into the audience, i turned to Erin and said that the only way I would come home with one of those t-shirts is if I got beaned in the head with one of them. Needless to say, I came home with a t-shirt and a headache. Hiroshima was playing the anthem that evening...it was different. I saw Miyuki from NTA - she thought I was Merry...she ALWAYS thinks I'm Merry. I also saw Scott & Stacey from church sitting in the box suites. I turned to Erin and told her that the guy waving frantically from his box trying to get a T-shirt looked a lot like Scott, to which she replied, "That IS Scott....and Stacey!!!" We spent the remainder of the game trying to catch their attention, which in the last 30 seconds we were finally able to do. |
