| 06/04/01 - I didn't have time to make up a page for May. I've been pretty busy at work. I'll post some photos from my trip to Japan when I get a chance (or IF i get a chance). Went to Happy Hour with Miles, Jeff, Jana, Hans & Tanya. Had a great time! Nothing new to report right now. |
| 06/08/2001 - After a hellish day @ work (which ended after 7:00pm for me), I went to McCormick & Shmicks in El Segundo to mee Lisa, Bert, & Raye. We had an enjoyable dinner with some more of Bert's GREAT wine!! We decided to see Swordfish, which had some pretty good action scenes. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst, either. |
| 06/09/2001 - We celebrated Tara's Birthday today. First,I went hiking up to Will Rogers Park with her. We went down the Rustic Canyon Trail. It was pretty fun climbing over the rocks & stuff...quite a challenge. The child that I saw coming back my way didn't seem to have the problems that I was having (darn him). So after all that activity, I managed to trip on a flat surface & skin my knee. But luckily, my brand new sunglasses that I wore for the 1st time managed to break my fall. Following that, we went to meet diana & erin for tea at the Ritz Carlton in Pasadena. I ran into Tosh over there, which was a surprise for BOTH of us. She drove up from San Diego to tea w/a friend. Tee, Erin, Diana & I went to see "Bridget Jones's Diary"...THAT was one funny movie! There were moments that I thought, "hey, they're talking about ME!!" It got a 2 thumbs up from me. It was a good movie to see w/the single gals! After that, we met up with Leslie, Jay, & Nancy for dinner @ joe joe's restaurant. The food was really quite good! Another 2 thumbs up from me. The waiter & host (who was a broadway singer) sang happy birthday a capella for tara. The ladies at the table next to us got jealous & complained. Someone in back of Nancy & I farted REALLY loud and instead of being adult about it, we laughed & giggled & told everyone at our table. Diana was kind enough to open her home to us for dessert. Her blueberry cheesecake was EXCELLENT!! I inhaled it like it was going out of style!! We had a time of prayer for tara, once we found out about her concerns. All in all, we were BUSHED from the activity for the day. Hopefully, erin, tara, & my trip up to Napa will be just as fun!!! |
| 06/06/01 - Went to Light & Healthy w/Dina. Ate like I hadn't eaten all week long. Then I made her go shopping w/me to check out the Nordie's sale. Nothing good...quite disappointing. I didn't feel so bad because Erin wasn't able to find anything either. I'm beginning to really dislike Nordie's. She bought me an ice cream. Pistachio. Yum. |
| 6/14/2001 - Just bought some Asolo hiking shoes from A16 yesterday. Great sale. Once again, however, Tara & I will be the bopsy twins with the same exact shoes. *sigh*. Today at work, we were discussing who our favorite Stars Wars characters were. There was actually someone who had Darth Vader as her favorite. I made fun of someone else for picking Chewbaca...I mean, the guy never says anything!! How do we know if he's really all THAT intelligent? Mine is probably the little Ewoks. They never say anything, but at least they are cute!! Anybody else? Email me |
| 06/18/2001 - This was a pretty fun weekend! I met up w/my friend, Mariko on Friday and we had lunch @ the Belvedere. I went to Kristi's grad party on Friday nite, even though Miles was acting like a complete JERK b/c i had PREVIOUSLY told him that 6/15 was a bad day for me to get together for Jeff's 30th birthday, but proceeded to make it for that date because, 'we can't choose a day that's good for everyone...'. (I was unable to make it to Jeff's party...sorry jeff). On Saturday, I met up for lunch w/Sao, darin, bert, raye, lisa, & tara. We ate @ Fritto Mistro...pretty good! We were there ALL AFTERNOON. I went home to prepare for my father's day dinner w/my family...the gang headed over (sans tara) to join us in our festivities. We went to see Pearl Harbor after dinner. Let's just say Josh Hartnett looked really good in the movie. The movie was incredibly hokey. Lame. Wouldn't see it again. I finally got to break in my Asolo hiking shoes. The same gang went hiking up near Sao & Darin's house @ 8:00am. Tara & I had to run to church all stinky & grubby to make it in time for Children's Church. We went back to join everyone for sao & darin's father's day bar b que. I hooked up w/erin, kimi, dan, tom, & kenny @ Relaxations for some boba after that. All in all a good, but tiring weekend!! |
| 06/19/2001 - No go on Kabuki Sushi in the new Promenade. Made worse b/c Dina was there. |
| 06/25/2001- Hiking up @ Topanga State Park...VERY exhausting, but I felt good after having done it. I need new knees...mine are KILLING me!! |
