VI.  Framework of the course: Not just Psychology, multidisciplinary:

    Book and course structured in terms of three aspects: 1.  Universal changes (biological, cognitive,social/emotional)
                                                                                      2. (sociocultural)Contextual settings  (family, school, peers,
                                                                                                                                                   work/play)
                                                                                      3.  (individual) Psychosocial issues ( identity, autonomy,
                                                                                             intimacy, sexuality, achievement.
 Addresses range of possible outcomes resulting from facets of each of these aspects, not just the stereotypical 'problems' of adolescence, but today in this culture, there are particular problems, the focus for term papers

VII. Introduction to text: reviewed major issues, structure of the text and some of the basic theoretical approaches.
