Sorry for lack of updates but she has been so well it was hard for me to recall that she had cancer these past few months. She was jumping in windows and playing about so much I was in total denial. Of course the cancer did not magically disappear and now it's rearing it's ugly head again though Sasha is still rather playful. As you can see from her belly she is getting some serious teat problems and her bloated belly is not from eating like a cow (well... okay she does do that however these are all tumors blowing her up so much). Even the teats covered by her fur are much like the visible one and they certainly do bother her. I had decided to get the carry all back from my sis over the weekend since it seems this is winding down to when I will have to take her in. She has lasted an amazing time -quite a lot longer than she was diagnosed but it seems the cancer is finally starting to overwhelm her at last. I do also notice she is having Kidney problems since she is drinking an enormous amount of water and going to the bathroom constantly. I had thought about taking her in for a check but figured it was pointless. I mean she is bound to have health issues now with the cancer getting so full blown I just don't have the heart to scare her with the vet until I must. As for taking her in and having her put down, her behavior doesn't warrant it since she eats and plays and cuddles just fine as always. I guess it will be a race, whether the tumors burst and I am forced or whether she starts to actually act in a deteriorating fashion. For myself I still hold out hope she may die at home peacefully.
