I remember when my sister got her kat "Muff" and brought her home to our house; I was so mad that she could have a cat and I didn't have one! I begged my mom to let me have a cat and my sister knew that there was one more cat left from the litter Muff came from. Reluctantly my mom agreed and said -"only if it's cute, not ugly or creepy" -something like that she said- (like any kat could be ugly!) My sis took me over there and there was Cleo (who's name was "Moe" at the time!) playing around in the living room with a rubber ball. I instantly fell in love with her and named her on the way home. She became an integral part of the family after that -and my mother adored her! And through the trials that followed in my life she was always by my side-through the worst and the best... Cleopatra was my first and most beloved Kat. She passed when she was about 10 years old. I was fortunate to be home with her and was able to hold her at her time of passing. She meant more to me than I ever could express in mere words. She was with me through all of the roughest times and transitions of my life and put up with moving from state to state among many other suffering and sadly abusive times for us. No matter what, she was my protector and guardian and my best friend. Though I didn't get to give her the best home for most of her years, she loved me unconditionally and I spoiled her as much as I possibly could. My"lil dirty face" I used to call her since she had a smudge of color on her mouth by her whiskers and everyone used to think she had dirt on her face - she is always in my heart and indeed part of my soul. I love you Cleopatra!
