Sasha is part siamese and domestic tabby and I have had her since 1992. She is the most opinionated and prissy cat I have ever had! She will not allow anyone to hold her (even me!) yet she is extremely affectionate and loves to sit by anyone's side. Often you will see her sitting with her front paws crossed like Ms. Queen. Her favorite toy is a silly rubber thumb puppet that is a bat! When his wing fell of (shhh don't tell her but it falls off rather often these days -after all it *is* as old as her!) she was so upset she wouldn't eat or play or do anything except stare at it until I felt so badly I sewed it up with needle and thread and although it now looks rather deformed- she was back to her happy self! Oh and she loves to sit in a box (no clue here why!) I have to keep a box in my living room for her to sit and stare at ya or she has a fit!
Crystal is my newer addition (due to the loss of my faithful Cleopatra) and I have had her for about 3 years now and I firmly believe she is a little demonic incarnate! She is a Coon cat (hence the wild tail) and I believe tabby mix. I picked her up after she lived with a family that had several dogs (and cats) and you can sure tell by her love of taking socks and shoes and running about (just like a pup!). She is extremely loveable and will sit endlessly on my lap if I let her. Lately she cannot be away from my side and has a special little crate bed under my computer desk! She will eat anything, dare anything, and gets herself in plenty of trouble! Her favorite feats are hanging from the ceiling fans and perching on the open kitchen door to jump on unsuspecting victims that may come over! She is always scaling door frames and her favorite it hiding under blankets to "sneak attack" you whenever possible. She eats anything and everything and has eaten some fairly fatal things such as car muffler cast/metal bits (don't ask) and moth flakes (very fatal to cats) without a bit of sickness or trouble! The cat is possessed I tell you! But I wouldn't have her any other way.... (well okay...perhaps a bit less rambunctious would be helpful to my sanity!). |
