A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Mark jump-started his career as lead guitarist for the country band Savannah Jack, the opening act for Ricky Van Shelton and Pearl River.
Once in California, Mark quickly picked up where he left off, gigging and recording with Sub-Bionic (Alanis Morissette’s original group) and Simonette Jackson, winner in the prestigious John Lennon competition.
In addition to playing with The MBA Band, Mark is a regular at some of L.A.’s premier rock venues as lead vocalist/guitarist for local favorites, The Mac.
When not busy playing the strings, Mark can be found teaching them – he started his own music school in 2002.
