Coded and unit tested the core financial applications using Net Express COBOL and Oracle. Began working at Severn Trent Systems as a consultant. Invited to become a permanent employee by Vice President in 1997. Sysco Foods in Houston, Texas. February 1996 until September 1996. Senior Programmer Analyst. Coded and implemented a Promotion Tracking system. System written in CICS using DB2. System was completed and accepted by user. Worked on design, coding and implementation of a Positive Pay Check Verification system. Process included the receipt of payment data from 68 operating companies and transmission of data to multiple financial institutions. Coca-Cola Foods, Inc. in Houston, Texas. June 1988 until January 1996. Senior Systems Analyst. Supported a Micro and Macro Forecasting system. This system was Oracle based, using Forms, Report Writer and SQL packages. Created and implemented an Oracle based Shipment and Inventory reporting system (using Forms, SQL packages, Microfocus COBOL) to replace legacy system. Successfully redesigned, programmed and implemented a Client Server based Customer Service Performance system and a Freight Payment system. Both were written in Microfocus COBOL using SQL and Batch files running on a SEQUENT machine. Downsized Order Processing onto a PC-UNIX platform. Designed modifications to Datalogics CIMPRO order processing system. Responsible for overseeing several contractors programming efforts. Implemented and trained new system at headquarters and six plant location.
