2/3 cup sugar |

In a sauce pan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, egg yolks, crisco and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat unti mixture comes to a boil (takes about 12 minutes). Remove from heat, add coconut and pecans. Beat until frosting is thick. Cool 15 minutes. Spread only on tops of layers. |
