Coconut Pecan Frosting

Ingredients

2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cups evaporated milk
2 egg yolks
1/3 cup crisco
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
2/3 cup chopped pecans

Directions

In a sauce pan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, egg yolks, crisco and vanilla.  Cook and stir over medium heat unti mixture comes to a boil (takes about 12 minutes).  Remove from heat, add coconut and pecans.  Beat until frosting is thick.  Cool 15 minutes.  Spread only on tops of layers.
