Never Fail Peanut Butter Fudge

Ingredients:

4 cups granulated sugar
1 cup milk or cream
1 stick butter or margarine
2 tsp vanilla
1 small jar marshmallow creme
2 heaping cups peanut butter fudge

Directions:

In large stock pot or kettle, bring to boil over medium heat: sugar, butter or margarine, and milk or cream.  Continue to boil until mixture reaches soft ball stage.  Remove from heat and add vanilla, marshmallow creme, and peanut butter.  Stir until mixed well.  Pour into 9x13x2 baking pan and let cool.  You may want to grease the bottom of the pan before pouring mixture in.  **You can substitute 1 pkg of chocolate chips for the peanut butter if you want chocolate fudge.  Nuts are optional.  Makes 4 pounds.
