| Tri-school Theatre Presents "Let Your Life Sing!": a musical revue of really good plays minus the drama and acting put into a two hour piece of shit with guys dancing and singing like they were fags and girls pretending to be sexy with a portion of thursday's proceeds going to ABRAHAM GALLARDO WHO PASSED AWAY - CLASS OF 2002. *on the flyer, Abe's name was larger than the title of the play itself* Here's the complaint: im all for some of the proceeds of this stupid, pseudo-play going to the gallardo family in this time of mourning. theres nothing wrong with that. the problem is that only thursdays performances proceeds go to the gallardo family, not fridays, not saturdays or sundays, but thursdays. isnt that a bit weird? who would watch this piece of shit play on a thursday? tri-school theatre was very smart in having some of the money from thursdays sales to go to abes family because on one hand, more people will come to thursdays performance, which is by the way the day when the least amount of audience members attend, and on the other hand, they could look good by throwing in a pretty penny to our fellow senior who passed away in april. good job tri-school theatre! you capitalized off our friends death! i was talking to one of the members of the cast of "Let Your Life Sing!" and this is what he had to say: "i dont know. its people like you who think like that. tri-school is doing a good thing." people like me? i say start a collection for abraham. i say have some of the proceeds of all the performances to go to abraham. i guess that when the cast member said "people like you," he was referring to people who actually care about abraham gallardos death and not some stupid ass play who pretends to help him. i know that you probably wouldnt understand how im feeling because you dont know who abraham is or tri-school theatre. my beef with tri-school goes long back so this whole complaint could just be my emotions talking but ponder this if you will: on september 11, how many businesses tried to be patriotic in an attempt to attract mourning consumers? how sick did that make you feel? |
