First baseman Stan Musial had 3 base hits and 3 RBI as the North Eaton Posy
DagGumits defeated the Athens Bobkittens in 10 innings by the score of 6 to 5
at Dodger Stadium.

The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings.  North Eaton won the game in
the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Smoky Burgess banged out a
single.  Robinson took off for second and slid in with a stolen base.  North
Eaton continued their aggressive style with another stolen base.  Jeff
Montgomery stepped in and he would hit into a fielders choice making North
Eaton victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd.  North Eaton
ended up with 13 hits for the game while Athens had 9. 

Montgomery(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Tom
Henke(0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 inning and
surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
