The Limerick Hurlers won by the slimmest of margins, 4 to 3. Ernie Shore(3-0) won the game with a masterful relief performance. No one got on base in his 1 and 2/3 innings reducing his ERA from 5.40 to 4.32. Grand River had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. Shore was helped out by Billy Pierce who recorded his 3rd save. Bryan Harvey(0-2) ended up with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 4 hits in 2 innings. |
