In a good matchup it was the Kelso Hilanders 5, the Sacramento Soches 3 at
Candlestick Park.

Kelso had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits.  Sam
Crawford began the Kelso spurt when he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his
2nd of the season).  After an out was recorded, Terry Steinbach stepped in
and he lined a single.  Steinbach then stole second base.  After another out,
Reggie Jackson came to the plate and slapped a single, and an error was also
committed, scoring the final run of the inning.  Kelso had just 6 hits for
the night.

Vean Gregg(3-2) got the win allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Gregg was helped out
by Mitch Williams who recorded his 4th save.  Jim Palmer(1-3) was hit with
the loss.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 8 and 1/3 innings of work.
