Right fielder Hank Aaron ripped 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI and Jake Weimer allowed Bat Cracking's manager to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Bat Cracking Bombers beat the N. Ridgeville Bandits by a score of 9 to 2. Aaron had a great evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 1st inning, lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 10th of the season) in the 3rd inning and slapped a one-base hit in the 8th inning. Bat Cracking had a total of 15 hits for the game. Weimer(4-2) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Warren Spahn(3-4) was hit with the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 8 runs in 5 innings. 'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some adjustments,' Aaron said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you out certain ways, you've got to make changes.' |
