David Wells delivered 7 and two third solid innings as the Bat Cracking
Bombers outscored the Cleveland Mayors in 10 innings 5 to 4.

The score was tied at 4 after nine.  Finally, Bat Cracking pulled the game out
in the 10th inning.  Duke Snider ripping a solo home run (his 9th of the
season) resulting in an exciting win for Bat Cracking and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans.  For the game Bat Cracking out-hit
Cleveland 14 to 7. 

Bruce Sutter(3-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 2 innings. Sid Fernandez(2-9)
was given the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 hit and no walks without retiring
a batter.
