The North Eaton Posy DagGumits defeated the Grand River Ghostmen by a score of
6 to 3 at Yankee Stadium.

North Eaton scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs on 3 hits.  Jeff Bagwell led off the inning for North Eaton when he drew
a walk.  After an out was recorded, Freddy Lindstrom came up and he doubled
knocking in a run.  After another out, Tris Speaker stepped up to the plate
and he laced a base-hit driving in one more runner.  Ed Delahanty was up next
and he drew a walk.  Smoky Burgess stepped into the box and stroked a single
scoring the final run of the inning.  North Eaton had 11 hits for the
afternoon while Grand River had 5. 

Jimmy Key(3-2) went 2 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Jeff Montgomery
earned the save, his 16th.  George Winter(0-1) was given the loss in relief.
