It was a wild evening in League Park where the Cleveland Mayors defeated the
Brentwood Bearcats by the score of 13 to 10.

In the bottom of the 7th inning Cleveland went on top for good when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The critical plate appearance was by George Sisler
who made the crowd happy when he tripled which was good for two runs.
Brentwood had 16 hits in the game while Cleveland had 13, but Cleveland had
the more timely hits.

Ted Lyons(1-0) allowed 5 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Lyons got relief help from Dennis Eckersley who gained credit for his 18th
save.  Hal Newhouser(1-4) ended up with the loss in relief.  He surrendered 2
hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.
