Aaron enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He slapped a single in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 5th inning and emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun (his 26th of the season) in the 8th inning. Bat Cracking banged out 14 on the afternoon. The victory was credited to McGinnity(5-5) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs. Mickey Welch(5-11) suffered the loss. His biggest problem was control as he allowed 8 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings. Bat Cracking now has a record of 65-49. With the loss, the Kelso ballclub's record is 48-61. |
