Grand River never recovered after Kelso took the lead in the top of the 2nd inning scoring one runner utilizing 2 base hits. After two outs Pete Browning laced a base-knock. Joe Sewell stepped up next and he doubled scoring the run. Kelso and Grand River each finished the night with 5 hits. Mitch Williams was credited with his 15th save. Vance was the loser.
