FROM THE 1964 1965 YEARBOOK I PRESENT TO YOU THE CLASS OF 1965
                 DEDICATION
We are proud to dedicate THE AFRICAN for this 1964-65 school year to Mr. John Marshall, principal of the Asmara American School.
Mr. Marshall holds a B.S. in education, a B.A. in social studies, and an M.A. in Secondary School Administration from Central Missouri State College of Warrensburg, Missouri. His career as an educator began in Marshall, Missouri in 1951, where he was a teacher and administrator in the junior and senior schools. In 1959, he joined the Depart of Defense Schools as principal of the Kaiserslautern High School in Germany and, later, he became supervising principal of dependents schools in Ethiopia.
Mr. Marshall's tallents are readily apparent in his many accomplishments in the past three years. He has created a comprehensive athletic program, remedial reading classes for the elementary school, a pleasent, well-maintained school atmospher, an active Parent-Teacher's Association and a sense of pride in being a student of A.A.H.S.
THE AFRICAN proudly bestows this token of appreciation upon our principal, advisor and friend, Mr. John Marshall.
