A year afting graduating Snead was still the talk of Colleton Prep. Academy's football squad. Snead stepped up from his role of Team Manager before his Senior year to sacrifice his heart and soul for the team.

Antione Nesmith, the University of South Carolina strong safety who switched to that role after a high school career as a record breaking running back. Said Nesmith on the position move: "I wasn't very confident but over the summer I went home to Walteboro and talked to my friend and advisor Brent Snead who taught me several skills when playing the safety position. I came back this year confident in myself and ready to play."
