EWTN  The Global Catholic Network

Mother Angelica

In 1981, Mother Angelica, a Poor Clare Nun of Perpetual Adoration set out to start a television network with only $200, a garage and a passionate desire to spread the Eternal Word throughout the world. Defying logic, she stepped out in faith, transformed the garage of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Alabama USA into a television studio and created EWTN the Eternal Word Television Network.

20 years on, EWTN reaches out to the whole world via cable, satellite and the internet. Funding for the entire network, is derived solely from generous donations made by benifactors.
