Children must learn to think carefully, act responsibly and live wisely. Skill mastery and excellence in academic presentation are built into the learning technology at Mountain Christian Academy. It is innovative, using self instruction, individual prescription, and continuous progress motivation. Success is the ultimate goal!! Children must learn to think carefully, act responsibly, and live wisely. Therefore, the curriculum is structured to include all three levels of the living process: Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom A student must learn not only how to make a living, but also how to live! The School of Tomorrow curriculum has been carefully formulated to incorporate a scope and sequence that introduces children to concrete and abstract reasoning skills at appropriate developmental levels and motivational stages. Vocabulary is carefully selected to spiral from simple to complex, concrete to abstract, from first level to graduation. Information focuses on the who, what, where and when. This is the KNOWLEDGE dimension of life. Later, the student expands his learning to the abstract or cognitive reasoning levels; focus is on why and how. This is referred to as the UNDERSTANDING dimension of life. The chief distinctive at Mountain Christian Academy is its focus on WISDOM as the critical part of the learning process. WISDOM is not just the gathering of knowledge. WISDOM is learning about and responding to life from God's point of view. To be a success, the student must learn not only how to make a living, but also how to live. WISDOM is the highest quality of life. WISDOM is character in action. Imagine a son or daughter who is appreciative, creative, diligent, friendly, obedient, honest and responsible. KNOWLEDGE + UNDERSTANDING + WISDOM = ACADEMIC SUPERIORITY!!
