All in the Family  debuted in 1972 A very contoversial sitcom with the lead character Archie Bunker representing atypical  ingnorance, semitism, narrow mindedness, convoluted views and opinions as well as ultra-conservatism. Also cast was timid but spirited wife Edith, idealistic daughter Gloria and her ultra-liberal (meat-head) husband Mike Stivik.
