Some of my work
These are most of the knives I have made. A few others I had lousy pics of. I do all my own heat treating myself with a propane forge made from an old freon keg and using a Ron Reil EZ Burner and my wifes oven. Thanks to Bruce Evans, of Bruce Evans handcrafted knives for all the good advice. Also thank you to all the makers on Bladeforums and The Custom Knife Directory for some damn good advice! You guys are the best. Come on. You know you are.
                                                      Sincerely,
                                                      Cory McAlpin

A rescue knife for my dad. 0-1 steel, walnut handle, nickel silver pins. Note the tempered glass breaker on rear of handle. Single bevel design. Full tang design

A knife built for my cousin Gordy. Diamondwood handle, 1080 steel, brass guard and pin. Hidden tang design.

A knife built for my Uncle Davy. Stag round handle, Bruce Evans rough forged 5160 blade. I did all the grinding myself and heat treating. Brass guard and pin. Note the antiquing on the blade. Crossdraw sheath

This is a stag tip handled knife I built from 0-1. It has a brass guard and pin. Hidden tang design.

A knife I built after an almost 2 yr layoff from knifemaking. High carbon lawnmower blade steel with mild steel guard. Deer antler handle with music wire pin. I bought the sheath from a knifemaker supplier. It is 8-9 ounce vegetable tanned leather, water formed, and dyed black.

I did not completely build this knife. I was out of knifemaking at the time I wanted this. This is my own design. I sent a pic of what I wanted to my friend Dave Larsen. I also sent a blank bar of 1080 steel to him to use for the blade. Dave ground the blade for me and heat treated it. He put a 400 grit satin finish on it. I painted it black with high temp bbq grill paint and wrapped the handle with green poly cord. The kydex sheath I also built myself. Ok maybe not a all natural material knife but even I need a good survival knife.
