Some pics of my shop
This is my humble abode. I started in my garage but the old rotten thing flooded this winter every time we had a melt. I had no heat and it got too cold to work this winter. So I moved everthing (well almost everything) to the back room of our basement. It took me a while but I got it done. Whew! Total cost of this shop is under $200. That will include any costs accrued building my 2x72. I am currently waiting on some wheels from Rob Fink at Beaumont metal works so I can get my 2x72 built. I cannot wait!! Look for it in the future.

This is my beautiful son Wyatt Cole at 21 months of age sitting on my work bench. Between my wife and him my life would be meaningless without them.

This is my bench where I do all my filing, leatherwork, soldering, and other stuff. Basically everything but grinding.

This is my main vice. brand new cost $9.99 at a local tool sale. Note the short piece of rail road track. I use this for peening and anything that requires a solid surface for hammering.

This is my 1x30 grinder. I made it myself for free out of an old deer stand. The belt is driven by my 1/3 hp bench grinder. The idler wheel is a timing belt tensioner from an engine and the drive wheel is an automatic tranny servo piston both free from my job.

This is my first 1x30. Made out of used 2x4s.
