My journey through China, based on memory. It's more or less accurate, from my point of view. I didn't include everything because I simply can't remember everything. Over all, I think this is a pretty good description of my experience. I also went on the web to dig up some background information for each of the places that I visited. I've included some links if you want to know more.

- 10/19/02 - Arriving in Beijing.
- 10/20/02 - Beijing: Forbidden City (Imperial Palace), Tiananmen Square, Pearl factory, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, and Acrobatic Show. Hotel: Beijing Shangri-la. Guides: Benjamin and Jason.
- 10/21/02 - Great Wall, Ming Tomb (Ding Ling), Tung-Ren Tang (Chinese medicine shop). Hotel: Beijing Shangri-La. Guides: Benjamin and Jason.
- 10/22/02 - Xian: North Gate, Big Goose Pagoda, Tang dynasty music and dance performance and the famous Dumpling banquet. Hotel: Xian Sheraton. Guide: Ellen Zhou Li.
- 10/23/02 - Huaqing Spring, Terracotta Warriors, flying to ChongQing to board our cruise Princess Sheena. Guide: Ellen Zhou Li.
- 10/24/02 - First day on ship. Visited Feng Du. Welcoming performance by the crew. No tour guide. Cruise director: Barry.
- 10/25/02 - Entering the three gorges. Excursion: Shennong Stream & trackers.
- 10/26/02 - Off at Maoping to visit the city of YiChang and the construction of the Three Gorges Damn. Also visited GezhoubaDam. Farewell performance by the crew.
- 10/27/02 - Bus ride to Wuhan. Visited Hubei province museum to see a 2400 year old tomb, and watched the chime bells performance. Also visited East Lake where Mao once vacationed. Last stop was the Yellow Crane Tower. Staying at the Wuhan Asia Hotel. Went out to the street market for a bit. Local Guide: Wendy Lee.
- 10/28/02 - Flew to Shanghai. Walked along the Bund and shopped along Nanjing Road. Hotel was Ramada Plaza in PuDong. Local Guide: Tony Zheng.
- 10/29/02 - Visited YuYuan Garden and shopped around ChengHuangMiao area and flew back to SF. Local Guide: Tony Zheng.
