Sea Wolf
From the Archives of a young and foolish heart.:
September 6, 1982
I gaze o'er a moonlit loch,
To the land beyond, where the trees do rise.
My heart does ache, for the miles mock,
"Why stand ye there with tears in your eyes?"
My Seawolf is gone away so far,
To the land of his youth, where the ships do sail.
Hellish wind of Calontir, brightly burn that Northern Star.
Guide him to where I wait for him with a flaggon of ale.
Blazing eyes I remember best
In simple mirth, fired of Gaelic charm.
Strong set shoulders, with fur on his chest,
And good red beard to keep me warm.
I gaze o'er the moon lit sea,
To the ships beyond, where the land does rize.
My heart does ache, does he wait for me?
Will I ever again see those blazing eyes?
