Two of my favorite cottages at Lakeside… there
are about 100 more that are just as adorable!
|
Here is Jonathan and John playing
shuffleboard at the internationally famous Lakeside shuffleboard courts…one
of the many free activities at Lakeside! |
|
Lakeside provides daily free activities for
children of all ages. Here are
Jonathan and Chelsea making paper and painting rocks. |
|
|
Lakeside also provides free tennis lessons
for children of all ages. Here is
Jonathan practicing his serves! Sailing lessons are also available for a fee. We expect our kids to start those lessons
in about 5 years! |

Bradley Temple is a small Victorian chapel built especially for children’s activities. There are daily music classes, crafts classes, and Sunday school-type activities. The children put on a musical program every
Friday, culminating their week of classes.
It is just amazing to see how much they have learned in one week! |

Daily free
swim lessons with certified instructors are offered in the baby pool for
infants and toddlers… |
Or in the lake
for “bigger kids”. Here is Jonathan
learning to use a kick board. |
|
|
There is a
bicycle parade and family picnic every year to celebrate Independence
Day. A local realtor provides all
food and decorations. Here are
Jonathan and Chelsea at the 4th of July bicycle parade. |

Some words to describe Lakeside:
-Basketball, volleyball, miniature golf, tennis,
bicycling, shuffleboard, swimming, reading on the dock, fishing off the dock,
sunsets, sunrises, family picnics, gazebos, pavilions, old fashioned movie
theater (with Disney movies daily), ice cream parlors, tea parlors, antique
shops, Victorian cottages, historic Victorian Hotel, restaurants, 3,000 seat
auditorium, puppet shows, musicals, jugglers, supervised playgrounds, giant
shade trees everywhere, church bells, lake breezes, vespers nightly at
7:00, serenity…… Lakeside is like all of Norman Rockwell’s
paintings rolled into one and in 3D!
