Abdull Al-Shazer: Abdull
was from a very young age interested in the Egypt of the past.
He would alwas ask his father questions about it. And alwas wanted
to visit ancient sites all over Egypt. His father( a rich spice
merchant) saw the intellegence of his son and enlisted him in
the best schools money could buy. Abdull got through School quick,
getting his PhD at the age of 20. He spent many of his years as
an archologist escivating ancient sites. In his studies he became
aquinted with many other Egyptologist over the world. And through
some of his more influential associates he started to publish
his own works. Abdull has 4 books he has written about Acient
Egypt. As well as many Submissions to both Arabic and English
Scientific Journals. During his studies of ancient Egypt he learned
abit about the occult. Many of the things these people did he
belived where horrible. And he was thouroly disgusted when he
found out his own Ancestor, Nephew to a Pharo, Had become a powerfull
occult wizard. He has never told anyone his secret because he
does not want others to think he is evil. Abdull has Retired from
work. He is still paid by the University and The Museum of Cairo
for some of his findings. This copuled with the large money he
aqquired from his father when he died. Have made Abdull an extremly
rich man. Abdull Has an extremly large estate in Egypt(inherited
from his father) aswell as large houses in other parts of the
World. Including Europe and The United States.
Richard Harris:
Prof.Harris was born in Sydney,
but his fascination in climbing combined with his research in
dreamencoding placed him in Scandinavia. Harris has sailed from
Australia and lives on his 30ft sail boat in Gothenburg harbour,
close to the opera house. He dislikes spiders due to an incident
from childhood. Constant nightmares since. Prof. Harris has written
a couple of reports on how REM sleep affects the synapses of the
brain and the effects of deprived deep sleep on test persons.
He expects a call from the Nobel Committee prior to his 40th birthday.
John Rhyes: John Rhyes joined up with Dr. Harris in Sydney to help with the sailing and navigation.
He is fit and very agile and knows his way around a rope. His main reason for joining
Harris journey was to get to the US to hunt tornados (influenced by the movie Twister of all things.)
He very much liked the trip across the Atlantic as the weather was rough to say the
least. In academic terms young Mr. Rhyes has much to wish for. He graduated high school
with poor grades and only passed due to scholarships for his athletic prowess. He is always
carrying his pack with climbing gear wherever he goes. He really is a die hard climber ("You
never know when you find a good wall to climb!")
As he has been a solosailer and a climber he is of a one man for himself type of character
but enjoys the company of mates and gals who doesnt mind a few beers and a couple of lies.
He was brought to the door of the McGee Foundation after the sudden disapearance of his friend and ship mate Dr. Harris.
Wester Waite:
Wester is a sharp and idealistic young man, determined and already
very set in his ways at a relatively young age. After less than
a year of college, he dropped out and set off, for a time earning
a decent living as a freelance journalist before getting stuck
in a position as little more than a paper-pusher for the McGee
Foundation. Wester cites a childhood in the 'rough part of town'
as the source of his...shall we say...less traditional talents,
i.e. lockpicking and handgun use. Wester is reckless and persues
his goals relentlessly which has gotten him into trouble at least
as often as it has allowed him accomplishment.
Thomas
Wydler: Thomas Wydler is an experienced lawyer
working for the McGee Foundation. He is a well educated and kind
person in his private life; but when business is concerned, winning
a case matters more than being fair or finding out the truth.
In other words, business is business. Having worked as a lawyer
for about 30 years pretty much made him a "human lie detector",
and he sure can talk his way out of a lot of situations, carefully
choosing his words and playing with people's psychology. One day,
one of his previous "victims" in court attempted to
beat him up (he's now in jail for assault), so Wydler made a point
to remain in good shape by exercising regularly, and taking gun
classes, which has made him capable to defend himself not only
in the bureaucratic world but also physically. He has never had
any mythos encounters.
Ante Zovko:
Antes' life suddenly changed with the outbreak of war in Bosnia,
he lost everything with the fall of his home town. Four years
of army service had left him somewhat scarred and bitter. After
the war his home town was left on the wrong side of the border,
and having nowhere to return to, he moved west. He eventually
settled on Florida to start his life new. Prior police work, long
warfare experience and guerilla combat expertise have left him
with a variety of useful surviving skills. He recently gained
a job as the head of security at the McGee institute. For the
last twenty five years Ante has been training judo, and is holding
a course at the local gym in his spare time. After acquiring US
citizenship he became member of the NRA, and is somewhat emotionally
attached to his kalashnikov that served him well the entire war...
those were the days... (Note: Ante Zovko is listed as MIA
as we haven't heard from his player in a month. If he returns
to the land of the living, he is welcome to continue
playing with us, but otherwise, he will not appear in this campaign.)
