How to Use This Page:

The 1901 census of ballymoney is on six reels of microfilm and is available through the LDS Family History Centers. The LDS microfilm numbers are as follows:

When the censuses were microfilmed, there was considerable duplication. Additionally, it is difficult to sort through the various reels to find the townland you need. To compensate for this, I have compiled a guide and index to the census. The following procedures will most easily enable you to locate the appropriate townland on the microfilm reels.

1. Search the "Townland Index" for the townland or street in Ballymoney.
• Streets in the town of Ballymoney can be located by looking under "Ballymoney, street name".
2. Determine the reel or reels that have the census schedule of the needed townland.
3. Note the microfilm reel number and item number.
4. Search the "Item Index" using the microfilm reel number and item number to find where the townland is located on the reel in relation to other townlands.
