As this is a new layout for my webpage (and the first one in years), let me try to quickly give you a tour.
The main page, which is where you are now, is a place to find site updates and quickly link to various pages of the site.
Links will take you all over the Internet. Well, I suppose it won't take you many places, at all, but it'll get you to some of my favorite places, anyway.
If you really want to know about my daily life, feel free to check out my blog. It's generally full of useless rantings and ravings but, once in a while, I actually come up with a funny story.
The SCJP section is for geeks only. This is for me and my Java writing brethren to talk shop. Generally, it's where I put tutorials and links that are handy for folks trying to obtain their Java Programming certification from Sun.
Pictures is pretty self-explanatory. That's where you can find the pictures I've taken (or that I've gotten from other folks). I have a nice camera so, if the pictures are bad, I guess it's due to operator error.
Finally, the Recipes section is really dedicated to my lovely wife, Liz. She wanted a place to put her recipes and share them with others so there's a page here just for her.
That's it, really. I hope you enjoy the site and I hope you find some of the other pages to be more useful than this one. Following this are site updates.
Original concept and design layout. Basically, I built the whole site that day.
Converted look and feel of my blog to match the rest of mcglone.com. I also added place-holders for the remaining pages, SCJP, Pictures, and Recipes. Those pages will be completed later. mcglone.com went live on this day.
Liz updated the recipe section. mmm desserts.
Infrastructure site changes for main page. I removed all tables for formatting and, instead, used a combination of DIV tags and CSS to do all layout and style.
Infrastructure site changes for the rest of the site. Tables are no longer used to do any of the formatting. All formatting is done through a combination of DIV tags and CSS. The new site went live this day.
