This class is a class in the Computer Tech field of study. It will focus on hands-on activities as well as computer troubleshooting and networking.
Students will be put into groups and will be asked to learn the parts of a computer, how to rebuild a computer, troubleshoot a computer and network a group of computers.
Students are graded on how well they work as a group, complete tasks and pass a variety of quizzes. Their grade is based on a percentage with 100% being the highest. Assignments are done as a group and quizzes are taken individually. Attendance is crucial and will count against the grade if sufficient time is missed. There is little homework as all materials must remain in the school. Assignments can be made up during class or during Flex. Arrangements can be made for extensive absences.
