Expectations for the Presentations
1. You have 3-5 minutes to persuade someone in the class to read the novel that you are discussing.
2. Make the presentation exciting and use props.
3. It would help if you dressed in costume but you do not have to.
4. You will be graded on your eye contact, so therefore make sure that you know your speech well enough to not stare at your notecards.
5. You will also be graded on your tone and clarity as well as your volume.
6. Do not rush the speech. Make sure you give all the pertinent facts without giving away the ending.
7. Remember- if someone chooses to read your book for the 4th Marking Period Independent Reading, you will receive a free 100 quiz score on any quiz (for the 3rd Marking Period).
8. You will be going on the day assigned to you above, in order written.We start the speeches Monday, April 5th.
