Food, Flappers and Fun
		There is an irrepressible joy in seeing a sensational era come to life on stage, and there is no era in our cultural history quite like the 1920's.  The sights, sounds and styles of the 1920's are such an important part of The Great Gatsby that it would be inexcusable to try not to experience them for ourselves. To this end, you will be journeying back in time and into the "Big City" to experience art, ambiance and culture as part of our "day on the town" including the Tony Award winning musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie on Wednesday, February 4th, 2004. Below is a tentative itinerary: 8:00 - Depart from VTHS 9:30-12:30 - Wollman Rink, Central Park (59th St. and 6th Avenue) * Skating fee: $13,75 12:45-1:45 - Lunch at Nick's** on 9th Avenue 2:00-4:30 - See the musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie at Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway) 4:30 - Depart for VTHS 7:00 - Return to VTHS The cost of the trip will be $65 and includes transportation, the show, and lunch.  Students will be responsible for the skating fee, if they choose to skate. ** Extra $5 charge for lunch.  Money is due by Monday, February 2nd.  Sorry if there is any inconveniences
