Obie Ray McKnight was station at a Army Fort in South Korea. This is how he met Yi, Jum Ja McKnight.

Jum Ja's birth name is Chum Ja. On her paper work upon entering the United States, it was misspelled Jum Ja. In the United States she goes by her legal name Jum Ja and in Korea she goes by Chum Ja.  To make the story more difficult her husband calls her Shun Ya.
