a.      Territoriality

i.        The emotional attachment to and defenses of home ground

1.      Claiming “ownership” of a certain area (yard, house, table seating, or parking spot)

2.      Defending your ownership through verbal and non-verbal communication, boundaries, or even aggression and dominance
