| Each day we walk through the world around us missing the smallest details and moments. My work is about seeing these sublime moments. Whenever possible, I photograph with only natural light. It may take me days to have the sun slant across my work space at just the right angle. Light brings a lushness to the images. I have long admired the works of such disparate artists as Vermeer and Caspar David Friedrich and wish to pay homage to their understanding of light, timelessness and the sublime. |
